One of our first arrangements together, this exquisite aria "Lieux Funestes" from the 1744 revision of Rameau's breathtaking opera "Dardanus" is the perfect example of how the baroque composer mastered harmony, manipulating dissonances expertly to achieve a wonderful sensation of tension and release throughout the whole air.

The Duo Kiasma's first music-video! With Ruvo, we wanted to not only showcase our love for folk-jazz, but also pay hommage to our accordionist's musical upbringing - Frin Wolter fell in love with French Jazz as a child, listening to Jean-Louis Matinier and Renaud García-Fons' album "Fuera", from which we arranged this track for cello and accordion.
